Bo ”Julle” Juhlin

Bo Juhlin
tuba, trombone

Bo Juhlin has studied the tuba as a soloist at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In the beginning he mostly played classical music. For example in the Stockholm Royal Opera under conductor Sixten Ehrling and in lots of classical brass ensembles. Bo is a frequently used studio musician and his playing has been heard both on radio and in films.

As a jazz musician Bo has toured round the world  with, beside Kustbandet, Swedish Jazz Kings. He has backed up musicians like Roy Williams, Kenny Davern and Bob Barnard.

When there is need for it he can change to double bass and at solemn occasions, like at the Nobel Banquet, you can hear him play the accordeon.
